Total solar energy rejection (TSER) measures solar energy rejected by filmed glass. Infrared rejection measures a different part of the spectrum. Compare TSER with TSER for the exact film and shade; an infrared figure is not an equivalent heat-rejection figure.
Compare your film optionsSolar-control film reduces heat entering through treated glass. Compare the selected film’s TSER figure; air conditioning is still needed to cool the cabin.
UV-filtering film reduces UV passing through treated glass and helps limit UV-related interior fading. Check the product’s UV-rejection specification.

Darker film can make the cabin less visible from outside. The privacy effect changes with lighting inside and outside the car.

VLT is visible light transmission: how much visible light passes through the glass or film. A lower VLT looks darker, so 20% VLT is darker than 70%. Our preview compares relative appearance; it is not a measurement of your finished windows. Existing glass, selected film and lighting affect the result. People sometimes use “tint percentage” differently, so confirm whether a figure means light transmitted or darkness.
Darkness alone does not tell you how a film controls solar heat. Different technologies can have different performance at a similar shade. A lighter film may suit your visibility needs while still offering useful heat control. The film’s specification is a better guide than its appearance alone.
The appropriate coverage depends on the vehicle, the window being treated and current requirements. Front glass needs a separate assessment. The percentage selector is a visual comparison, not a list of road-approved shades. Tell us the vehicle and intended coverage before choosing; we will discuss suitable options and check the requirements that apply to the job.
Allow around three to four hours for a typical car installation. Film removal, additional glass, difficult access or a specialist system can take longer. We discuss the expected fitting time when booking. Curing continues after collection, so the installation time is different from the period before you can lower or clean the windows.
Yes. We offer old-tint removal and replacement. Send photos of bubbles, peeling edges or discolouration and identify the affected windows. The film and adhesive condition influence the work, particularly around rear-window heating lines. We can discuss replacement films after assessing the existing installation. We work with different vehicle types, including SUVs, BMWs and Teslas. The specific model and glass matter more than the badge alone. Roof glass, front glass and glass with cameras or other equipment need their own suitability checks. Tell us which areas you want treated; a general side-and-rear-window package should not be assumed to include the roof.
Factory privacy glass and an applied film are different. A dark appearance alone does not establish the glass’s solar or UV performance. We can discuss your comfort goals and whether a suitable film would add value. Existing glass and added film are considered together when assessing the final shade and light transmission.
Darker tint lets less visible light through, which can affect visibility on unlit roads and when reversing. Tell us if you often drive at night. For phones, GPS, toll tags and glass-mounted antennas, compatibility depends on the exact film and installation position. We help you compare suitable products instead of treating every film construction as identical.
Five years is the stated warranty duration for our featured nano ceramic and 3M packages. It is not a blanket warranty for every film or service. The selected package’s written terms explain the provider, covered defects, exclusions and whether fitting labour is included. Keep the invoice and warranty documentation and contact our team if you need help with a claim.
Follow the instructions supplied for the installed film, including when to lower and clean the windows. Curing time varies with the product and conditions. Once cleaning is permitted, use a soft cloth and a suitable non-abrasive cleaner. Avoid picking at edges or pressing bubbles yourself. Send photos to the installer if haze, bubbles or lifting remain a concern.
